Steam Distribution Surveys

DA TankThe next step in our complete steam system audit is a steam distribution survey. After inspecting the boiler(s), and other equipment related to steam production in the boiler room, we follow the steam header and all its sub mains to their end. After the steam has reached the intended equipment and condensed, it is then important to return the condensate to the boiler room with minimal energy loss. This phase of the audit includes a steam trap survey and insulation audit.

Typical opportunities in the steam distribution survey include, but are not limited to:
