Boiler Plant Surveys
Our steam system audit starts at the generation point, the boiler(s). We perform combustion efficiency testing and analyze boiler skin radiation and blow down losses. This boiler plant survey data is then used to calculate the overall boiler efficiency. We closely examine the areas where energy is being lost for opportunities to improve efficiency. As part of our boiler plant survey, depending on the magnitude of the losses, we make concrete recommendations to economically reduce or eliminate these losses. These recommendations may include, but are not limited to:
- Direct or indirect flue gas heat recovery
- Blowdown optimization and/or heat recovery
- Fuel selection
- Excess O2 level optimization
- Preheat combustion air
- Boiler staging optimization
